This has got to be one of the Brightest whatever it is thing i have ever seen. Its Floresent Orange. Sorry my camera sucks up close. I know nothing about this coral or even how to care for it. Please inform me. This thing reminds me of the fiber optic novelty lights you can buy. You have got to see this in person. Beautiful. Thanks

Looking at the first pick, I would've suggested some type of algae. Second pick, I would suggest more specifically coralline algae. If so, you could try breaking it off and attaching it to a more desirable location.

I agree, it is probably algae. Many Alga grow well in higher flow areas like on pump strainers and die off when removed.

Thanks for the help. Agreed it is a type of Algae. not going to remove it from the powerhead. Hopefully it will grow. This stuff is beautiful under Actinic and Stunners. Any ill affects from letting this stuff grow? How about feeding it? Thanks again.

No need to feed it. No harm in letting it grow.

+1 Google it. There are some pretty awesome pictures of larger specimens of this stuff. Let it grow! Maybe if I find my way to spanish fork some day and it's larger I could get a frag? Macro is awesome.
