I have just a plain old chocolate chip starfish in my tank and he doesn't look healthy.  He has been in my tank for about 4 months now.  Am I supposed to be feeding him anything or does he just eat detritus?

He eats meaty foods and corals. Feed him a piece of shrimp or octopus or something like that.

 i agree, maybe some squid or shrimp, i try to feed my sea star often but it is kind of a hassle when the claner shrimp is trying to take the food
