Hey guys, I am looking for a couple "C14 panel mounted male connectors"  These are the connectors that you find on the back of computer power supplies, monitors, projectors.etc

I am going to make a "quick disconnect" for my led hood this weekend, and I think this would work out perfectly for what I am trying to do.

Thanks

Here's the link also if for some reason the upload isnt working

Another way to make a quick disconnect for lighting systems is to use an extension cord. Cut the cord so the male end is short, coming from the light fixture. The cord with the female end is longer and is wired into the ballast/power source. Having the female end be the power source is a safety measure because if the open prongs of the male end was powered...Shockedshocking.

As I think about this, if there is not an inline ballast, then have the cut male end from the fixture plug into a complete extension cord. I hope this makes sense.

Yeah, makes perfect sense, thanks for that information Mark!

I'm actually taking apart a power supply as we speak to see if I can pull one out, if this doesn't work i'll probably go with the extension cord idea.  I actually found some "replacement" ends for extension chords at home depot, so it would still look pretty nice.
