We need to get this kid a tank! But, if we did, could you afford to get the salt to keep it going?

What grade are you in? I buy it by the bucket, but have a big tank. I think a bag does 50 gallons, and runs about 20 bucks. You need to be able to change 10 percent of the water every 2 weeks.

I am in the 10th grade. Saddly I am the only one in the school that thinks of saltwater fish other than food.

I used to have 6FW tanks, but when I moved into my own house. I bought my 150SW and a 180FW and sold the rest (55,2-25,10,5,2.5). Oh, forgot about the 10 gallon at my desk at work (FW) still have that, but thinking about replacing it with a nano.
It's my mom's fault, she got it stuck in my head, that if you have more than 2 fishtanks in your house, you start to look like a LFS.

siren... I have a 55gallon tank FS for cheep.... There are tanks on here cheep ALL the time.... You could have a reef for next to nothing after you got the lighting. Thats the most spendy part. After that everything goes cheep here. Swing by on the reef tour....

ok. I don't have a tank because of lack of funding, but I will look into it.

I just picked up a 6 gal Eclipse at DI. It is in my office at work. Looking to make it a nano. I am interested in your set-up. How is yours set up?
I replaced the lamp, filter pad and bio-wheel. It is now curing 3" of Bear Lake sand and about 15 lbs of Utah Tufa Rock. I have filled it with change out water and about a pound of C. serrulatta and chaetomorpha from the 200 gal reef.
