I have tried feeding them a few times, and I cannot quite tell if it is working? Will they more likely eat at night?
I have been feeding mysis shrimp with a turkey baster. I shut off the flow to feed the candy canes at night, and try to feed the hammer at the same time, but the food just sits on the polyps, rather than being enveloped like with the candy cane.
Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Scott

I've never fed mine. Never felt the need.

Sometimes I seriously wonder if we make this hobby too hard.

Articles I've read indicate that flow and lighting are far more important for corals than anything else.  If I hadn't just read about spot-feeding candy cane corals above, the thought would have never crossed my mind.

Ive only feed mine once, it ate well. But I havent done it since, and it does fine I actually got a frag with 1 head on it about 3 weeks ago and it now has 3 large heads and a new small one.... But like vadryn said everything I have read says to worry about lighting and flow and not so much spot feeding them.

I don't spot feed anything in my tank. Once evry week or two I will feed all the corals with a finley ground up mixture of frozen foods, flakes and pellets mixed with Fuel. I turn off the filter pumps but let one power head circulate for about an hour, then turn the purps back on.

It is not a very new addition. It has been in there for maybe six weeks. It is doing fine and looking healthy. I think that the light and flow are both sufficient. I just thought that I would help it out a little to speed up its growth.
