My method of attaching frags has been smash or manuever a frag/rock into a crevice, which has been ok, but I need to do it official and get some gel/glue/expoxy.

Mike recommended a specific type, however I forgot what it was.

What would you recommend and where (hopefuly HD or Lowes as they will be cheaper than a LFS).  I'd prefer an adhesive that allows me to attach directly to the coral or rock that the coral is attached to and then glue it underwater to my LR in my tank.

Get it where ever you want.  It's going to be cheapest at either your local hobby store, woodworking store or craft store.  Look for the 1/2 - 1 oz bottles.  Should cost $4-$10.  Or you can just buy the little tubes from HD, Lowes, Wallmart, etc...

Is there a specific type that is Aquarium safe?  Am I looking for "Super Glue", "Super Gel", etc?    Just want to make sure I get the right adhesive.

I use the $4 stick at home depot.  It's labeled for pools.  It's a little stick, green on the outside, white on the inside.  Just follow the directions.  It's aquarium safe.

Any super glue will work.  Get the gel variety.  One could argue over whether or not they are aquarium safe, but cyanoacrylate glue is cyanoacrylate glue.  And I've never felt that they contributed to any issues in my tank.

The stick stuff is epoxy, which is different then super glue.

Isaac,

I use "Zap Gel" from any hobby shop and Aquamend from Home Depot.

For epoxy I use aquamend as well. And I used the zap gel a couple of times but it costs more than I like to spend so I just buy the Duro Quick Gel found at walmart. You get 2 of them for like $3 or something like that. I have used it on all of my acros for 6 months and everything seems to do just fine with it.
