I'm working on a pic right now but either my acan ate a hermit crab or the crab just decided to crawl into its mouth!!!

The crab is definitely alive because he's moving his antenna!

I noticed my acan eating a hermit crab a few weeks ago. I was puzzled how the acan got the hermit back end in its mouth. And I didn't see any empty shell near the acan.

Are you sure it isn't the molt from a hermit crab?   Cool pic, BTW.

I should have taken a video! The crab was alive for sure I don't know if he was trying to move the whole acan as his shell or if he was being eaten and trying to get out. He's fully swallowed up now. Crazy acan and poor crab.

I don't know if the shell was in there. It didn't look like it. Maybe he left his shell at night and thought the acans mouth was a bigger shell?

That would be the best clean-up crew ever! Tons of hermit crabs walking around in acan hahaha
