    Posted: May 04 2011 at 5:35pm

I need help connecting to my Apex from an outside computer. I have followed all the directions from the Apex Owner's manual and the Unofficial Apex manual. I can access it through my home computer, but cannot connect to my Apex from a computer/android phone outside of my home network.

I have turned off my Norton firewall and Windows firewall to see if they were tying it up, but no go. I have gone to the Portforward website and tested the Dyndns side...good, tested the port forward and says that something is blocking me from gaining access. I'm pretty sure the router port porward was set correctly (
Service Name HTTP
Service Type TCP/UDP
Starting Port 80
Ending Port 80
Server IP Address 192.168.1.50

Please help!!!!!!!

Have you done the applicable port forwards on your modem/router?

Shoot me a PM of your public ip address and I can do a quick port scan or I can also send you a remote invite and take a look at it with you.

Is DHCP set to off on your APEX? Make sure your Dyndns IP address gateway address on the APEX match.

Good luck. I love my APEX, but getting that port forwarding to work is the biggest pain in the a$$. At least for me!

Ryan (rfoote) found the problem for me. I had 192.168.1.5 on my apex and 192.168.1.50 on the router. Go figure..mathematically speaking they are the same, but in computer language, they are different.

Thanks for the help
