I bought a new 40 breeder over the weekend and want to integrate it into my current reef system. (
- so much for keeping just my 120) I'm leaning towards a clownfish/anemone tank or a pipefish/macro tank. I realize that there's another post with a similar thread, but I'm not one to hijack.
If I do the clownfish/anemone tank, I'm considering either a two-band, a perc, a false perc, or a pink skunk. The anemones I'm considering would be a BTA or Long tentacle. What are your thoughts? (I've been studying Joyce Wilkerson's book, too)
I think the pipefish idea may be beyond my skill level.
I can always use the 40 piggyback as an extra 'fuge, or as a dedicated frag and peaceful fish tank. It will be downstairs, just at or slightly above the current sump, using drain water from the 120 upstairs for flow. In other words the 120 is fed by my pump, and maybe 1000 gph of the drains feed the 40 , but all drains eventually end up in the 80g sump. I figure between 210 and 220 gallons total system volume.
