Thanks to DaveT for these. There are five of the little cuties.
The other day a Member was over to my place with her husband. We were wondering what it is that draws Clownfish to powerheads and anemones. The husband suggested that some kind of vibrator device placed in the water might draw them.
Does anyone have some ideas about that?

So are the males or the females attracted to the powerheads?
On a serious note, it looks like they have lost their other stripes already. They sure are cute?

Actually, the largest baby still has a full second stripe on one side and a broken stripe on the other.
And the baby that Adam kept years ago still had some second stipe when it died at about three years old!
I wonder if life is easier in an aquarium.
Well I can't let a post go without...
Adam, Aren't they all male until they just start to pair?

Yes, fish are different from people in that way. (well at least anemonefish) In these fish they all start out as male, then some advance into the female stage. In humans as a fetus we all start female..... but then some of us advance into males.

I thought they were completely sexless (kinda like Adam is
going to be when I tell Marcena about this post) until they
started to pair off? Or is the word genderless?
Isn't it cool how anenomefish pair up? We got 3 juveniles, the
biggest and toughest became the female (Hillary), the next
toughest became the male (Bill) and the third, stayed a juvenile
(Monica). We had to move Monica to the tank down the street,
'cause Hillary wanted to kill her!

Hey now everyone hold up.... I'm trying to make some sort of political statement here or anything. I'm just answering Mark's questions about embryo development. I'm no expert in this field, but these are just some things I know.
And, I should mention that no only is my wonderful wife willing to let me have a reef tank, but she has fish/corals/tanks of her own as well.
Love you dear (if you are reading this )

I believe they are all on their way to being female until they pair up. Biologically there is a big difference; but in practicality, who cares? Regardless of the gender differentiation process what a hobbyist needs to know is that start with two small anemonefish and one will stay male and one will become female.

DaveT, They were all strong enough to avoid the powerhead strainer. The Sixline Wrasse was more territorial than I realized. It harrassed them for almost a week. The two smaller fish probably died because of that. How are yours doing? If you want me to raise more of your babies in my Fraggin tank, I'll remove the Wrasse. It was a fish I inherited from someone else anyway.

 Do you like Wrasse? Wrasses?
I do too, well maybe not as much as you.
If DaveT wants me to grow-out more babies, it's yours.
