Im setting up my 120 in like 2 weeks and need help with a return pump.  I bought a Ehium 1262, was told it would be enough flow for my 120 (which is about 6ft head height).  Do you think this pump will be big enough, I want lots of flow/water movement in there.  i want this done right the first time.  Do you think i need a mag 12 or will this pump work?

Thanks,

Joshua

On a return pump I like it to be 3-5x the volume. For example if you have a 10 gallon tank you would want a return pump between 30-50 gph. Use powerhaeds to creat the extra flow you desire. A couple Koralia 4's in there would do nicley.

I just set up my new tank and I wanted lots of flow...So I had 2 pumps (one for each side).  Right now, I only have one running.

What I found, I was pushing so much water that my refugium was in so much turmoil, it wasn't a place of refuge for anything.

So, I am doing just like Ryan suggested.  The return pump is for the filtration.  Power heads are used to create the extra water motion in the tank.
