Topic: hello from korea Posted: August 23 2010 at 3:32am |
hey its been a while since i've been on figured id stop in and say hello. many of the older guys remember me, or at least i hope they do i've been out for a while. but as many come to find out you cant stay gone for long. unfortunatly i do not have a sw tank going but i do have a small fw one rollin. i would love to get some salt but i am having a hard time finding a place to buy livestock, oh and equipment, i should have sent a nano over here. i will get some pics up of my lively little guppies soon. how is utah treatin everybody? korea is one hott and humid country let me tell ya. i live less then 300 yards from the ocean but i dont wanna go swimming in it for anything, there is a reason they call it the yellow sea... so anywho i got 4 months down already only 8 more to go. then here i come north carolina, less then an hour from the coast. i'll be sure to keep ya'll updated when i get rolling there. so in the mean time keep it real hope to hear from some of you guys. i miss my fishy buddies.

Being that close to the Yellow Sea, gotta be good old Kunsan AB. Couple hours south of Seoul.
Been there....done that....
Enjoyed my year as part of the Wolf Pack.

yup good ole kunsan, and it has been a while glad to see some people know me lol i wasnt sure if there was anybody left that i knew after reading around a bit.
andrew, sadly as of right now my plans of coming back to utah might be in the distant future, loved the area but didnt care for the base to much. im sure i'll make myway out there eventually maybe once i get setup i can get some of you guys to mail me some goodies... i'll be around dont worry.
shawn, see the presidency hasnt changed much, looks like everything is doing great. the forum has def changed a little bit since i last visited, but it looks reall good. congrats on another great year. i still get some of the emails from time to time so i keep up on some thngs going on.
bret, how is everything going with your tank? did ya ever upgrade? i'll have to look for some pics of your tank as well. kunsan its ahh well its korea smells like sewage everyday but u get used to it, im living on the flightline so its constant jets taking off and landing makes it hard to sleep for the first few weeks but then you get used to it. i need to get out and do some sightseeing thats for sure. im gonna try and get some pics uploaded sooner or later. show everybody what they are missing. take care.
steve, great to see ya around again buddy i wasnt sure if i was ever gonna talk to ya again. i havnt made it up to seoul yet. but im trying to they have me working so much here. pretty much 6 days a week. i dont feel like doing a turn and burn on my only day off.
andy, im trying to find some pics of the awsomeness u had growing in ur tanks. shoot me a link so i can drewl some more.

I lived in Kunsan, but it didn't smell like sewage every day. I was there 14 years ago, so I bet it has changed since I was there.

yeah tim i wish i still had that, and i wish i would have mailed one over before i came here. so now i am in the market for a small tank, prefer a 6gal nano, but i could go smaller just nothing to much bigger.
corey, im sure it hasnt changed to much, but it isnt a very clean country i can tell you that. im having a hard time uploading pics have any ideas?
mark, yes i do have the guppies but i am having issues with them now, they will be swimming around eating fine and then just die, and it will be like 1 today then a few days later 2 more. i cant figure it out for the life of me. they get fed everyday and have good water flow/quality. there is something i am missing or they are just sick to begin with. i've bought 2 batches so far there is none left from the first one, and i am down to 5 out of 10 from the last batch i bought just over 2 weeks ago. i did have a neon tetra that lasted from may until just last week. but thats it. any help.
